My Complaint Description:
I had applied for an Axis Bank Credit Card after few conversations with the representative of Axis Bank Credit Card deptt.(Madam Merry, Kolkata Branch).
But when I received ,I noticed that my name was misspelled(APURBA CHOUDHARY insist of APURBA CHOUDHURY) on card. Immediately I informed it to the said representative but the reply was that she had sent the correct spelling of my name, so she was unable to help in this regard. Meanwhile I received one statement from axis bank that I have to pay Rs. 280.9 as joining fee & service charge. Since my name is APURBA CHOUDHURY & my name in all cheques, issued from different banks (even from Axis Bank in which I have a salary account) are as same as APURBA CHOUDHURY, So I am unable to pay it. Then I send one letter to the customer care of Axis Bank Credit Card deptt. to rectify it . But in reply they informed me that since I have submitted the PAN card in which my surname is as CHOUDHARY & they have made it accordingly. In this connection please note it that I have not applied it through on line. Axis bank send one representative at my home for this purpose & that person personally collected this document from me. Neither
the representative nor any one from Axis Bank Credit Card deptt. had informed me about the difference of the name before finalisation of the credit card. Then after several coresponces they informed me to send some documents. But I denied since I have already a salary account in their bank & necessary documents are available with them. At the same time I noticed that the documents related to my name like PAN card, Ration card, Voter ID card are somehow misspelled in different manners . But I have not faced any trouble till today due to this.
Now the fact is that they are sending me sms one after another to pay 643.81 as joining fee ,service charge, late fee though I could not use the credit card till today. In one of the papers they had sent me it was clearly written that ’using the credit card you agreed to accept the terms & conditions mention in the card holder agreement’. So until & unless I use the card ,how are the charges being implemented ?
I am mentally depressed . Please help me.
