I ordered a "Shopper's Stop Gift Voucher" worth Rs 1000 using 4200 of my reward points on Oct 28, 2015. On Oct 30, 2015, I received an SMS from SBI card that I will receive the gift voucher by November 14, 2015.
I have not received that gift voucher until today, and there is no status update about what has happened to my gift voucher. If I log in to my account I still see, "Work in progress" status.. that I have been seeing since Oct 28, 2015!
SBI Card was very quick in subtracting 4200 points from my rewards immediately, and charging me Rs 99 towards reward redemption service immediately, but they were not so punctual in honoring their time commitment!!!!
When I called SBI card customer care, they told me to wait for another 5 working days… a couple of customer associates simply hung up on my call without even answering me!!!
If I do not pay my card statement balance on time, or did not pay my card fees on time, will that be OK with SBI Cards? Will not SBI card immediately penalize me with additional fees and charges? Then why doesn't SBI card honor similar time commitment from their side????
If SBI card is not obliged to honor their time commitment but enforces the same on customers, they are so arrogant that they will do anything they want… they will not honor their time commitment, they will not send customers reward redemption gift vouchers on time… BUT customers are expected to pay all the fees and statement balances on time.
Looks like SBI card organization follows a fascist regimen!
