I had purchased apps daily insurance for my new mobile Lumia 540. Around a month back I had an accident with my phone and as the phone was in warranty, I decided to claim the repair through apps daily insurance. While I purchased the insurance, the policy of the insurance was of pick-up and drop-off service; which they discontinued within 6 months of my purchasing the insurance. Obviously, I had to go to one of the apps daily offices to register the claim. I went to one of their offices in Fort, Mumbai.

I first went to the office with the documents, mentioned in my registered email received from apps daily. On that day, The executive in the office checked the documents, verified to be correct. Upon verification, she asked to pay Rs.500/- as a service charge. The executive was not able to give me the cash memo or the receipt because the printer was not working on their end. I accepted.

Couple of days after the same executive asks me to come with a missing form, which she did not mentioned on the first day. I thought okay, let's take a leave from my job and go to them to submit the requested form. I went their again and submitted the form. She verified and said everything is fine.

The next day she call me again, saying we require a cancelled check too…!!!! Wow, I am just sitting ideal at home fo them to call em and say please submit this today and continuous everyday…

I went again to submit at 6:30PM. To my surprise There was no one in the office. I waited there for 15 minute. Then she comes and says that I had gone for tea break. Tea break @ 6:30PM, while the closing time is 7:00PM…Great. I was calling her since last 15 minutes, and she told there is network problem here hence was not able to take the call..

On that day she was supposed to give me the job sheet, she told there is system problem and will not be able to give me job sheet today.

I had to go again. This time they took 2 hrs just to note down everything in their system, which they would do only in front of the claiming party. Just while uploading they found that the original receipt is a hand written and would require the stamp of the shop from where I purchased the mobile. They are telling me this at 7:00PM. This time when I told them to wait and will bring the stamp in 15-20 minutes. Not to my surprise, They told me to come the day after, again. I had to fight with them to wait and finish the process on the same day…which at last happened at 7:30 PM. The date was 30DEC2015.

I called the customer service to know my claim status. First Their site was down and were not able to check the status. second time, the agent told me they did not receive any documents. After some digging she told me that my claim is under process, the claim which was approved in front of my eyes. 30 days after the submission, there is no status yet… Upon asking the reason for the same they told me to call back again on Monday. (and wait to talk with executive again, tell them entire Ram Kahani, again). The executive was talking so rude and disconnected abruptly.

I don't know what to do as everything adds to frustration….
