My Complaint Description:
I own an HDFC Credit Card. I received a call from their side regarding a mediclaim policy of ERGO. HDFC Credit Card has tied up with ERGO Insurance. I agreed on phone to get that policy and the calls were recorded.
On call, the marketing executive informed me that we can cancel the policy for any reason in 15 days.
The amount was to be debited from my credit card in installments of 24 months. They debited full amount in first month.
I had other issues as well, so I called them in 4-5 days to cancel the policy.
Daily I receive calls from them to know the reason for cancellation of policy, but the policy is not cancelled.
Today I received a call from them from a number +91 140 957 0100. The speaker was very very rude. He informed me that I need to pay the entire outstanding to cancel the policy, which was supposed to be in 24 installments.
I said, you can cancel the policy and get the amount reversed from your side, but he said that I need to pay the full amount in advance, and then he will cancel the policy.
This is a stupid and rubbish policy, which was not informed to me at the time of taking the policy.
I have all calls recorded and stored in my Google Drive.
If I need to go to court, I have all proof against HDFC Bank.
Grahak Suraksha, please sue these people who cheat people after promising something and giving something else.
