I bought above number from Ahmedabad Gujarat upon my visit in July 2010. Actually I paid extra to get number of my choice and had taken the series for my brother.
My Father Kutbibhai Primuswala both the numbers under his name as I didn’t had my passport copy with me at the time of purchase.
Since I’m NRI and leaving in Dubai I had been told that I have to do recharge of atleast Rs 200 to keep my number active FINE!
Due to emergency I visited India in November and had used my number and did recharge and returned in the end of November 2010. Since last recharge I was under impression that my number is active as still its not 6 months but today suddenly when I tried to use my number here in Dubai it didn’t worked and said SIM Card activation failed. Upon Calling Vodafone customer care I got a reply my card has been deactivated because of no use.
And I was shocked WHAT!!!???
Customer care executive (Javed) told me that my number has been deactivated and is under custody of the company. Upon asking he said it not I use that’s why its been deactivated.
I tried to explain him everything but he kept on saying he cannot do anything in this and if you want the same number then wait for few months when company will reissue this number at that time you can buy it again.
Upon my request he transferred me to Ms. Shilpa (customer care floor manager) and I explained her that I have done recharge in November 2010 and till day it’s only been 5 months then why my number has been activated? She said she will check this with concern department and if recharge has been done then my number will be activated in 30 min.
Till now it’s almost an hour now and my number is still not active.
Does Vodafone have this type of service that they randomly deactivate any number without information or without contacting owner of the number?
I urgently request you to look into this matter with high priority and to activate my number as soon as possible.
