Dear sir,
Following train was canceled on 07-06-15 by Railways without prior information.
RAILWAYS or IRCTC has not send any SMS/E-mail or made call for above incidents.
Train No 12127 ,Train Name : Intercity EXP
I have booked ticket of this train through IRCTC for Mumbai CST to Lonavala
PNR No: 8457972730.
When I have asked to person at window no 19 at CST station then he has said that for online tickets
refund will come automatically to your account.
So, I request you to refund my amount of Ticket Rs. 1569.94.
I have complain for the same to get refund to [email protected] and [email protected]
but both of them have denied my request.
Then I have complained about this to ([email protected]) Indian railways complain portal (Complaint No.: W/CR/CSTM/000071620), but they have also denied by replying that "Case not registered TDR not filed in time. Not entitled for refund."
As my train was canceled so I need to take taxi to reach Lonavala and have paid Rs. 3000 for the same. I was reached my home by completing my tour/journey after 3-4 days. But when I have checked my account then there was no refund. Now IRCTC says that you should cancelled your tickets of cancelled train (train was cancelled by railway)within 72 hours of departure time of train.
I can not understand what is the meaning of cancelling tickets if the Train itself was canceled by railway? And railway/IRCTC has not send any SMS/EMAIL to cancelled the tickets of canceled train within 72 hours.
And then also suppose I have exceed the time limit then Railway should take 5-10% as late fee and return my remaining amount of ticket.
Without any mistake from my side here I need to suffer a lot both mentally and economically.
The big question is that in a year at least minimum 100 trains are cancelled by Railway.
If railway / IRCTC will not refund this type of cancelled train tickets amount then then how much big this amount is? After all this money is of public. So railway must refund it.

  2. I book 04 SL ticket from chennai central to new Delhi as on 6 april, I cancel it but my amount not refund ….. why plz refund my amount
