I have purchased Samsung A8 to gift it to my husband on 7th December 2015. Cost of purchase is 31,000 Rs. In the month of September suddenly the option and back key stopped working and there was pink-blue mark on the corner of phone display. Otherwise phone was working fine, touch was operating perfectly, camera, flash, speaker, display, charging, calls, sms, everything was fine.

I vent to samsung service center on 27th September 2016, Jay hind cros road, Maninagar, Ahmedabad. They said problem of option and back key will be covered in warranty, but the display can not. As it is damaged because of pressing. So first I need to replace display and then warranty things will be repaired. Display costs 7500 Rs. My phone is handled very much carefully; there is no scope of pressing. Even though they said unknowingly in pocket or bag if it is pressed, you may not know.

I said ok I am ready to spend 7500 if my phone worth 31,000 gets ok.

Display was not in stock at that time, so they said if it doesn’t comes within 7-10 days, they will take the phone and will refund 31,000-7500=23,500 Rs. to us. I agreed for both options.

After 10 days when I called to inquire the status (Display availability), they said phone is water damaged and so belt of back and option key and its mother board connection is damage, so now total cost of repair will be 17.000 Rs. (Including Display). I can give on stamp paper that my phone is never ever water damaged. And if that belt is damaged how come phone charging, speaker, etc was working perfectly fine?

Now they say either spend 17,000 or take the phone back. They opened phone with vacuum so now phone display is cracked, so its not in working condition. So now I have no choice to escape. How can a middle class person can spend 17,000 on the phone (which costs 31,000). My hard earn money is totally wasted behind samsung phone. I am feeling that because samsung don’t want to refund 23,500 Rs to me, they are manipulating things, to stay safe and smart.

This is worst ever experience with samsung service center. They keep on putting allegation on consumer as if we are using phone for the first time in life.

I want samsung to repair my phone in cost of display fot 7500, as they committed. Or give me as I have submitted (in working condition) not display damaged by them. It was my life's wrongest decision to trust Samsung Service.

Very much negative impression I got for samsung after this incident. I never recommend now samsung to anyone. Apple is far more better who replace piece whenever such problem occurs. Samsung is now my last ever choicest brand after such bitter experience. This negativity will spread among other costumers as well. And in my family now onwards samsung will never be purchased that is for sure.
