My Complaint Description:
We had ordered product ABS ROCKET after watching its advertisement on Airtel DTH TV. When we called up for enquiry and ordering this exercising unit, we were informed that it will be shipped out within a weeks time.
So we placed an order on 6th September, 2015 (Sunday) and payment was through Credit card. The amount paid was Rs.5244. We asked them to send us the confirmation of the order via SMS, but was not sent.
After waiting for a week, we started calling them for the product and only answer we received was it will be sent.
On 16th Sept, payment was deducted from my Credit card, but the product was sent via Gati on 24 Sept and reached us on 26th Sept.
When we opened the box, the product looked used and OLD. The rims were broken and screws were corroded.
So we called him on 28th to inform for replacement / return. We are informed to send the goods back by ourself. And after they receive the goods, they will inspect and decide what action to be taken. The time period informed for the same is about 2 weeks after they receive our goods.
Now, I just wanted to know the following:
1. Why should the consumer bear the cost of sending back the inferior / defective goods?
2. What is the guarantee of receipt of money even after sending back the goods.
3. How will the consumer be expected to be an EXPERT in packing the goods so that its not damaged while transporting? This maybe an issue raised as last resort for non-payment to me by Telebrands COMPANY
So Sir, please advice what things I need to take care while sending back the goods for which I have already made the payment.
