My Complaint Description:
We have a policy bought on 12th Feb, 2009 and it has been foreclosed because we were not able to pay premiums. But the big thing is the difference between verbal communication regarding policy and the documents.
My father has been cheated by ICICI Prudential’s agent/employee. He was wrongly communicated. As he is not able to read English thoroughly, he couldn’t find the mismatch. After 1 year he went to submit the policy but he was told that you can’t surrender for three years and money would be given back to us at the end of three years. After three years he again asked for the same but he was told that we have been charged for not continuing the policy and its better to keep money with ICICI PruLife for at least a year as it provides good returns and so loss will be covered. So my father did the same and went to your branch a week ago(after 4 policy years) and now he has been told that our policy has been foreclosed for not paying the premiums for the first three years and we won’t get any money back though we have paid 40,000/-. I read the policy then I come to know that my father was misguided by agents/employees and now a loss of 40,000 INR.
