Respected Sir

I have a account at HDFC (Saving Account No 01851000126287) Nigdi Pune. This was a joint account in the name of Arup & Anindita Roy Choudhury. However we are looking for a Locker Facilities near to my residence, which we got at HDFC Pimple Saudagar Branch, with a official negotiation that if I take 2 policy of total yearly premium worth Rs. 80,000, then Bank can provide the Locker Facilities. Therefore , we opened a joint account with Pimple Saudagar Branch 25241930000976. At that time I requested branch people to arrange to close the NIGDI Account. However , once my "classic" account is opened & policy premiums are paid the Policy amounts , representatives suddenly lost interest in closure of my old accounts.

In a tough economical condition , this is very difficult for me to maintain minimum balance in both the branches. On top of that I had to arrange sum for Rs. 80,000 for the policy. And very soon my Accounts got demoted to normal saving account from "Classic" Account.

Immediately – I started receiving SMS stating penalty is getting levied at the end of each passing month.

Getting panic , I reached out Branch for setting & arresting cumulative penalties.

In this case also , there are 2 persons came quickly for our savior. They suggested that if I take a HDFC Life Policy , then branch manager has got some sanction power to waive the penalty.

Again , forgetting past experience – I had signed up with one more policy of Rs. 15000.

Got few months of relief, again I started receiving the SMS of penalty for the NIGDI account.

I sincerely solicit suggestion & intervention with the Bank Authority.

As a customer my grievances are.

1. Why I am levied with penalty when I am existing customer with good record?
2. Why Saving Account No 01851000126287 HDFC NIGDI Pune is not closed inspite of commitment from the Bank?
3. Why Customer reaches for services or support are exploited to buy HDFC Life Policy?

Sir – now-a-day , it is becoming tough to balance work-life-home economics-health. In such scenarios bank like HDFC and their representatives are expected to be sympathetic towards people in general. Which is completely missing, in spite of leaders at the top. Sir , I am concern for the peoples , who are taken for granted.
